Debriefing Traumatic Events in Teams

This one-day course is designed to build confidence and skills to have the conversations necessary after a traumatic incident. Many people feel anxious and avoidant having conversations when bad things have happened for fear of doing more harm.

It is, however, generally acknowledged that people need to talk about what they experienced and there are benefits in doing so. With the help of senior clinical leaders who debrief difficult incidents regularly and a psychotherapist we will help you understand the advantages and pit falls of a debrief.

We will offer practice opportunities and a simple model to work to in order to build skills and confidence on this subject.
