Helen Parker
Helen is a doctor currently working in senior leadership roles in East London, including Clinical Director for Emergency and Acute Medicine and Medical Lead for Simulation and Essential Clinical Skills, with more than 20 years experience in the NHS. Throughout her career education has been a key focus and she has designed and delivered teaching programmes covering a range of subjects including mental health emergencies, miscarriage and women’s health, conflict resolution, debriefing critical events and breaking bad news. She completed her Masters in Medical Education in 2019. Her most recent publication in the Emergency Medicine Journal explored the challenges of difficult communication over the telephone. She was chosen as one of the “NHS70” London Women’s Network Award recipients, as well as receiving recognition for her innovative educational courses from Health Education England. She lives in East London in a house that contains too many animals and has a penchant for savoury baking.
