Carol Restinghini

My career has moved organically from Specialist Physiotherapist in Traumatic Brain Injury in East London, through to my current focus delivering; Practice Education training for Allied Health at the University of East London and bespoke training courses for Allied Health Professionals in London.

I gained my Higher Education Teaching qualifications at UEL following my Masters in Neuroscience with University College London and my PHD in 2019, having studied and contributed to a European Cost Action initiative in Robotics for Stroke Patients.

My career has focused on enterprise. Including, the design of the first self-funded London based undergraduate Physiotherapy BSc hons course and the first London based postgraduate Musculoskeletal Diagnostic Ultrasonography course. The HEE funded programme of Critical Care Upskilling CPD for Allied Health in 2023 is my most recent project.

My approach to design embraces current digital resources and embedding Simulation design, debriefing techniques and novel live development tasks into the construction of the training for influencing confidence and success of participants.

I am a member of the London Simulation workshop and the INPA /ACPIN.
