Coaching and Mentoring
This 1 day course is aimed for staff who are new to being a manager / supporting staff.
It is an interactive course which aims to equip those that attend with useful tools which will help them to successfully manage and support staff.
Learning outcomes;
To define the key characteristics of a supportive manager
To compare different styles of providing support to staff
To experiment using new knowledge to hold meaningful meetings with staff

10:30 | Key characteristics of supportive manager. This is an interactive session where the participants brainstorm against researched characteristics |

11:30 | Comparing styles. In this session we look at styles and personality types to see which ones might work |

1:30 | Exploring the use of styles, this is a practical workshop where staff get to practice having conversations with staff, feedback from faculty |

2:45 | How to have meaningful conversations. In this session the participants practice having 1:1’s with each other in a round robin style. Questions, and evaluation Time is allocated |
